Thomas Isbell | Co-Founder and President

Thomas’ passion for recovery is hard to miss. His vision and commitment to high-quality treatment drive the mission at Origins Texas Recovery. Before joining Origins, Thomas served as founding director of The Pat Green Foundation, successfully raising millions of dollars for charity. He worked as a financial advisor for Seamless Capital, an Austin-based real estate company and has traveled the country as a motivational speaker. In recovery since 2010, Thomas has also served as a life coach and manager of a sober living home.

Roy M. Serpa | Chief Executive Officer

Roy is a proven industry leader with over 33 years experience in the Healthcare services such as Home Health & Behavioral Health. Previously responsible for the oversight and management of annual revenues in excess of $250M & the treatment of 15,000+ patients annually. His experience includes facility-based and free-standing Home Health Agencies; Mergers & Acquisitions; Executive Leadership & Management; Executive Sales Management; Turn-around Management and Compliance & Regulatory issues.

Bob Letke | Clinical Director, MA, LPC, LCDC, EMDR Trained

Bob has been working in the addiction field since 2001. He is passionate about the process of recovery and helping those who suffer from addiction and mental health issues. He joined the Origins team in 2015 as a Primary Counselor and is currently serving as the Program Director. Bob has a Bachelor’s Degree in Alcohol and Drug Counseling and a Master’s Degree in Clinical Mental Health Counseling. He is also trained in EMDR.
In addition to working on substance abuse issues, Bob has a strong passion for working with individuals who suffer from trauma. Bob enjoys spending time with his family, riding his motorcycle with a volunteer organization, and going fishing.

Derek Gwaltney | Chief Marketing Officer

For the past 10 years Derek has worked closely with business development teams at Lakeview Health and Pyramid Healthcare to grow and expand their offerings. Derek and his family recently relocated to Tucson, AZ to join the Origins family. Derek’s passion to helping individuals find quality treatment is apparent with all he does at Origins Texas Recovery and has made a great impact to the team thus far.

Mandy Baker | Vice President of Operations

Amanda K. (Mandy) Baker, MS, LCDC is currently the Founder and operator of Mandy Baker Consulting, LLC. She holds a Master of Science in Human Development from Texas Tech University, which she received in December of 2006. Additionally, Mandy holds graduate certificates in Adolescent Development and women’s studies. Prior to her career in the treatment industry, Ms. Baker was the Associate Director for Grants and Special Projects at the nationally recognized Center for the Study of Addiction and Recovery (CSAR), where she worked as the lead project manager for the CSAR’s efforts to implement recovery support systems at institutions of higher education across the nation. Her deep understanding and study of the 18-27-year-old demographic has resulted in numerous publications in academic journals, books, curricula, and popular press outlets.
Prior to starting her own company, Mandy served as the CEO and Chief Clinical Officer of BRC Recovery, the CEO of The Ranch at Dove Tree, the Vice President of Clinical Services at Origins Recovery Centers, and the Co-Founder and Clinical Director of Windhaven Counseling Center and its women’s only IOP. She is passionate about the unique issues of women, particularly those in recovery, and applies this passion in all that she does She has served on boards supporting the academic advancement of women including the Margaret Talkington School for Young Women Leaders.
Mandy has dedicated her career to helping individuals and families impacted by addictive illness and is a passionate advocate for the mental healthcare of Veterans. She is committed to providing accessible care, to developing creative partnerships that improve continuums of care, and to researching, developing, and implementing novel treatment approaches in the addiction and mental health treatment space.

Alan Goodstat | Director of Compliance, LCSW

Alan Goodstat, LCSW has 30 plus years’ experience in the Behavioral Healthcare field as a Clinician, Clinical Director, Program Director, Administrator/CEO, COO and Chief Compliance Officer. Alan received his Master of Social Work from Columbia University and is licensed in the States of Florida and South Carolina. Alan has a proven track record in providing compliance and organizational growth management services to both small and mid-size organizations, as well as start-up and pre-exit organizations . He sits on several behavioral health organization boards as an advisor, and member.

Donna French | Director of Finance

Donna has been in the accounting field for 38 years. Industries include, CPA firms, Aviation, Resorts and most recently an outpatient mental health facility. Donna expresses that the transition into the mental health industry has been a most rewarding experience. “If just one person benefits and is able to turn their life around, I feel like I’ve helped make a difference.” Donna is honored to be working for an organization whose focus is on the whole person and not just a label or diagnosis. Facilitating positive outcomes by ensuring all financial details are handled in a swift and loving manner is paramount to Donna’s work. She believes her experience along with her passion for people and recovery makes Origins a perfect fit.

Stefanie Litwiller | Human Resources Director, MSHRD, SPHR

Stefanie holds a Bachelor’s degree in Sociology and Psychology, and a Master’s degree in Human Resources Development. Stefanie has been in Human Resources for over two decades, primarily within the behavioral health and patient financial services industries. Stefanie’s background includes employee relations, employment law, developing policy and process, analytics, compliance in both human resources and healthcare regulation, quality assurance, and training & development. Stefanie has built HR departments from the ground-up, served on the implementation teams for mergers, and grew an organization from 35 employees to 300 employees in eighteen months. She is passionate about employee development and creating environments for employees to thrive and grow.

Edgar Garcia M.S., LPC | Primary Counselor

Edgar Garcia is an experienced Licensed Professional Counselor who believes in facilitating growth mindsets, healing, and self-exploration within his patients. As a therapist, he is dedicated to utilizing empathy, connections with others, and meaning of life to assist individuals in achieving a healthy wellbeing. His approach to therapy is to allow individuals to freely express themselves and the issues they face while holding a non-judgmental attitude, creating a safe space for expression, and using empirically driven techniques to guide clients throughout the challenges of life. With this in mind, Edgar’s therapeutic interventions enable his patients to engage in meaningful conversations that lead to changing unwanted behaviors/thoughts or even change life paths. Given the opportunity for these sessions, his dedication to his patients empower them to independently make difficult life decisions, cope healthily with negative emotions, thoughts, and situations, and heal from past experiences. His passions include helping others, time outdoors by fishing and barbecue, and spending time with his family (while squeezing in hunting for valuable Pokémon cards).

Ann Remington M.Ed., LCDC | Primary Counselor

Ann Remington holds a Master’s Degree in Rehabilitation as an Addictions Specialist. She is a Primary Therapist at Origins’ Hanah House working with adult women who are in treatment for alcohol/drug use. Ann is a dedicated professional with a commitment to problem-solving, continuous learning, and making a positive impact through her work. She has over 40 years’ experience working with this population and has a passion for helping women in particular, with all the complications and joys of recovery.

Celeste Ledezma MA, LCDC | Primary Counselor

Celeste Ledezma, MA, LCDC, holds a Master of Arts in General Psychology from The University of Texas Rio Grande Valley and brings a background in psychological research and youth behavioral health to her work at Origins. She previously worked closely with adolescents and families, developing a strong foundation in trauma-informed care and behavioral support. Motivated by both professional experience and personal insight into the impact of addiction, she pursued licensure in chemical dependency counseling to better serve individuals in recovery. Celeste is passionate about helping clients build healthier coping skills, strengthen relationships, and create meaningful, lasting change. She is committed to providing compassionate, person-centered care in a supportive and respectful environment.

Christina Martinez MS, LPC Associate, LCDC-I | Primary Therapist

Christina Martinez is a Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC) and Licensed Chemical Dependency Counselor (LCDC) who holds a Master of Science in Professional Counseling. She is bilingual and provides culturally responsive care to diverse populations. Christina currently serves women at Hannah’s House, where she specializes in addiction and co-occurring disorders treatment. Her clinical approach is trauma-informed and rooted in relapse prevention. Christina integrates Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), and Motivational Interviewing to help clients build emotional regulation skills, challenge unhelpful thought patterns, and strengthen long-term recovery. She is committed to client-centered care and believes that healing begins with safety, empowerment, and genuine therapeutic connection.

Paul Greenberg | Primary Counselor

Paul Greenberg is a native of Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania. He recently graduated from Southern Methodist University’s M.S. in Counseling program with a focus in treatment of addictions, as well as specific coursework in trauma, adolescent counseling, and culturally informed support to transgender clients. Paul served as an infantryman in the U.S. Army Berlin Brigade from 1986 to 1989, then attended the University of Pittsburgh, graduating in 1994 with a B.A. in Education. He taught high school English in Pennsylvania and Vermont, as well as English as a Second Language in California, South Korea, Morocco, and Myanmar, completing an M.A. in Teaching at the School for International Training. Paul was commissioned as a second lieutenant in the U.S. Marine Corps in April 2000 and stationed in Quantico, VA; Camp Lejeune, NC; the Pentagon in Washington, D.C.; New Orleans, LA; and Camp Pendleton, CA. He primarily worked in public affairs, deploying for operations in Iraq (2008-2009), Morocco (2010), Afghanistan (2014), and Kuwait (2017-2018). His career included three years as executive officer of Wounded Warrior Battalion, where he served on a multidisciplinary treatment team responsible for ensuring quality medical and mental health care for transitioning Marines at five facilities across the U.S. He retired from the Marine Corps as a lieutenant colonel in 2019. During the COVID-19 pandemic, Paul worked as a peer support specialist at a residential treatment facility for substance use disorders in Del Mar, CA. Over the past six years, Paul has earned his 200-hour yoga teacher certification, served in the Peace Corps in Thailand, and worked for the U.S. Department of Energy as a technical writer. Paul is a dedicated meditation practitioner and enjoys hiking, running, mountain biking, paddleboarding, traveling, and learning languages. Most importantly, Paul is passionate about working with and mentoring people in recovery, helping them develop the skills and resilience to thrive in a life of sobriety. He is also a trained and loyal “service human” to his Boston Terrier, Boscoe.

Leti Del Bosque | Primary Counselor

Leti del Bosque, a Licensed Chemical Dependency Counselor and Primary Therapist at Origins Texas Recovery. With seven years of experience in the field of addiction treatment, Leti brings both clinical expertise and creative insight to her work with individuals and groups in recovery. Before entering the behavioral health field, Leti worked as a high school art teacher, an experience that continues to influence her therapeutic approach. She thoughtfully incorporates art therapy into individualized treatment and group sessions, helping clients explore emotions, process trauma, and express themselves in meaningful, nonverbal ways. Outside of her clinical work, Leti enjoys creating artwork, swimming, and managing her small ranch, where she cares for sixteen goats and three miniature donkeys.

Dan Gilmer | Director of Clinical Outreach

Dan is from Baton Rouge, Louisiana he attended Louisiana State University and has been working in the Substance Abuse and Mental Health Industry since he got sober at the age of twenty. Having various different roles in that time doing admissions, case management, outreach and owning Sober Living Homes he has a vast knowledge of varying levels of care. It is his passion to help others that are suffering to achieve Recovery.

Erik Jokinen | Director of Admissions

Erik Jokinen serves as the Executive Director of Admissions with over a decade of experience in behavioral healthcare. Throughout his career, Erik has been dedicated to helping individuals and families access the care and support they need. With extensive expertise in substance abuse and mental health treatment, he has worked across admissions, operations, and clinical outreach, giving him a comprehensive understanding of the treatment process from first call to ongoing care.

Harry Perkins is an Admissions Coordinator with Origins Texas Recovery and Cypress Lake Recovery. A native Texan, Harry has been working in behavioral health since shortly after he discovered the gift of recovery for himself in 2020. Helping individuals who struggle with addiction and mental health to navigate the process of entering treatment is as rewarding to him today as it was when he first began working in admissions five years ago. Outside of work, Harry loves taking road trips into the Texas Hill Country!

Jakob is a dedicated professional in the behavioral health field and a person in long-term recovery who is passionate about helping others find healing and support. His personal journey fuels his commitment to connecting individuals and professionals with meaningful resources for recovery. Jakob currently serves as President of the San Antonio Addiction Professionals Collaborative, where he works to bring providers together to strengthen the local recovery community. He values building authentic relationships and creating partnerships that help others thrive. Outside of work, Jakob enjoys spending time outdoors and staying active through sports and adventure.
